Agforest is a movement with a clear purpose: to make technology work for nature. We combine satellite data and geospatial information with artificial intelligence (AI) models developed in-house to aid decision-making. We assess physical risks, anticipate phenomena, automate rudimentary processes, and calculate the economic value of ecosystem services.

2020 changed our lives, and not just because of the COVID-19 pandemic. That year, while we were all looking out the window, Science magazine published some unprecedented news: for the first time in history, the weight of man-made objects had exceeded that of nature. We had pushed the Earth to its maximum stress level.
We long for the past and fear the future. Aversion to change is in our nature. But at Agforest, we believe that responsible and measured progress is possible. We discover the potential of technology and put it at the service of making cities more livable. We understand technology for what it is: a tool. And, used correctly, it can help us improve planetary sustainability.
For decades, we have made an adverb of quantity our mantra: more.
More production. More extraction. More pressure on ecosystems. That adverb of quantity has marked us and lost us. Nature, however, works differently. It is exponential. It adapts. It regenerates. We, clinging to linear thinking, have stopped listening to it.
It is time to change that approach. It is time to apply the exponential power of technology to help us live better. To learn from the logic of nature and use our tools to accompany it, not to surpass it. Because only then can we build a sustainable future.
