This spectrometer, launched in 2017, detects a wide range of atmospheric pollutants, providing high-resolution, nationwide data. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mode of operation<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TROPOMI sensor<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Full Spectrum<\/strong>: TROPOMI is a spectrometer that encompasses ultraviolet, visible, near infrared and short wavelength radiation. This allows the monitoring of a wide range of atmospheric pollutants. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gases Detected<\/strong>: Ozone, methane, formaldehyde, aerosols, carbon monoxide, NO2 and SO2 are some of the gases that TROPOMI can accurately identify.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spatial resolution<\/h3>\n\n<p>With a spatial resolution of 1 km\u00b2, each pixel in the images represents an area equivalent to approximately 100 soccer fields. This significantly exceeds the representation of conventional local stations. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Machine Learning for Interpretation<\/h3>\n\n<p>Our measurement method uses Machine Learning methodologies to correlate satellite data with climatic and dispersion variables.
